Protectionsim

"Protectionsim" is the buzz word in IT sector these days; Thanks to Barack Obama's anti-outsoucing slogans. Whether to increase visa-fee's or ban Ohio state govt projects being outsourced, or taxing high to companies who create job outside of USA. Political pandits say, it's a game of politics to retain/sustain and being staioned in power. Economist says, in a globalized world, protectionsim will harm more to a country which vouches and cost of living will go high; Organization who are getting burnt by these moves, are raising concerns from anti-outsourcing backlash.
Leaving the globalized space, let's see inwards. Within India people of certain community has large reservations in terms of caste, race, religion. Once, Mumbais Sena's raised voices of Bhaya's immigration to Island city; Won't they right in stating that. A city has a threshold limit to accept immigration. Otherwise state of affairs will turn anarchy. Nobody vouches their voice, as these folks become easy vote bank in politics. But, what's happening to slums, which is coming up every nook and corner of city. And a slumdog billonaire has been shot and go to Oscar for bringing success to portrait INDIA in drains. Isn't that every state needs to build infra, power, roads, mfg, services and agri to create employment, so that people won't migrate from villages to towns, towns to cities and cities to International destinations. Protectionsim plays role everywhere and every state of immigration. As, having bunch of LIVE WORMS into society will create competition, and people will play on PRICE, and/or service levels.
So why blame one country, our country's state of affairs are no different. Bengaluru, which become a city of IT powerhouse, is still readily accepting people across the India. There were a time in 2002-2003, where the Infra was horrible, and local Kannadiga's were blaming IT for such menance at the state. Now, you could hardly hear them. Isn't no that, IT's are not mushrooming, in-fact the expoential rise is phenomenal, but the infra become better there after; so the complaints as well sub-dued. People are started accepting the change. But, if this flow continues to happen, the unplanned growth will take the toll of City. Civic bodies are not planning like NCR, getting Gurgaons, Greater Noida and so on to reduce the congestion of mainland. But, KRS of Karanataka might come with protectionsim what MNSs of Maharastra do in Mumbai. I agree Mumbai being a Island city, the growth on suburbs limited and so as the voice. But, it wouldn't correct that Protectionsim needs to play a role to drive productivity, social awareness, sense of ownership and love to motherland will enhance.
Why blame someone else for our own mess. Not readying to clear the mess, is something un-acceptable. Its easy to say than do, but larger mass make those un-selfish man fool saying they presumed to be good and showing off Gandhian principle. What a Soch we have inherited from our social life. Being a nucleus family, I am sure we will pass the same mentality to our Kids, and no different that, you are creating another USA in India. So, invariably we are creating protectionsim within our own country in various ways.
Offering best in service with low cost is the mantra of sourcing your non-core functional work to better managed firms. Be the Bhaya's of Mumbai who drive taxis/autos or the Sardars of USA who drive taxis. Be the Gujju's of Mumbai who are active in trading, or the Gujju's in USA doing trading in retail format. White colored jobs in Mumbai as well attract global companies to setup their headquarters in Nariman Point, Fort Road and other CBDs. So as people move to major capitals of USAs to work along with orgs.
Expatriates are welcome in India; Business expatriates like the place, good service, state-of-art facility with significantly cheaper cost, which they won't get anywhere. But, then it's limited to certain areas, and hence they are not marrying to India for long. But, Bollywood flicks are different, come on student visa, or tourist visa and then work to make money. Wasn't that attracting expatriates in bollywood. Bollywood as well 1000 Cr business and more; and all the best Production units are here, EROS, 20th Centrury Fox, Won't it show that it's a trade of bilateral. Where IT considered backbone of every business, but the core is something like people experience while using those soft aspects. Then why hue & cry of such protectionsim. If it's a plank or gimmick for by-elections; then it's fine. Otherwise, such motives will negatively impact and in-fact it started showing my depreciating dollar. Hope, someone is listening. Not to my post, but in generals of worlds great economists and advisors of white house.

Vignesh...

Ganesh time; Once i asked my friend to accompany me to Siddivinayak temple and outright rejected; but the same person returned stating let's go to Lalbaugch Ka Raja Pandal other day. I was surprised to find this anomaly. God is god, whether he is in Siddivinayak temple or in the pandel. Why there is such digress sentiment. I couldn't resist my curiousity and promptly asked; why a sadist like you have a volta-face; There the truth reveals; Lalbaugch has divine powers which are fulfilled if you visit the Pandal. Though it sounds like hypocrisy, I analyzed this as no difference from our routine decisions and attitude towards eco space.
Other day, I had been to a B'day party of my colleague's daughter. He has thrown a lavish party; Event Managers who are paid to engage the kids, found them stealing the party show. Earlier people thought throwing a party in a great hotel is kind of gracing the occassion in big bang; but now list of activities that Event manager will do, fetches the attention of great was the party. Foodies, if you are not a entertainer, you may like such parties are overkill for you.
Snob value is something that everybody experiences in a different format everyday. Why people are so concerned about their dislikes vs likes of others. Getting adjusted to family tantrums, BeSpoke at Office, Nice to everyone, Pleasent all times; Bit a LOT masking to carry split personalities everytime. Isn't that we need to overcome such personalities; which personalities weighs more %, we reflect the emotion and behaviour on the day. Joy, Sad, happy, cheerful, sorrow, are different states of mind that reflects a being state of mind.
Famous say that, what you got when you taken birth that you will carry when you die. Nothing; so why so much unrest in life for some gains which success/happiness is temporary. Can't we be a success person throughout our life. Why everyday we begin with un-certainty, thinking of what next, crying foul of certain things not achieveable, Reaching heights with dismal foundation/framework, Cheating own day - in - day -out. Is it life full of challenges and eternal Ganesh being worshopping for well being and clear the messy of life to lead a happy time.
Than what did my Colleague at LalBaug will wish. Give everything in life; Life of King Times ;=), Won't a shanty slum dweller will ask the same. Will god differentiate the aroma of personal traits when accepting the wishes.
From childhood, I have seen Ganesha puja as a day of No studies, move around to see pandals, eat prasadams, get blessings from priest for "All Pass", See orchestra / melodies and never wished anything which will make me BIG, Is it something I should have been done to find myself completely different. Barring all challenges in the name of Ganesha "Vigneshwara", or connecting with soul for doing all right things in life "Siddi Vinayaka". Truth to yourself, Help others, Don't expect in return, Back foot pride, ego, selfish, Accept comments to take it consutrctive way, Happy to be one with everyone. Does it require too much salvation or this is something which is not acceptable in growing concern society. If that so, why double standards when we land at God's place. Possibly in Kali Yug, that's what God want and people like us to perceive. Rest to your speculation.

Different Cuisines

Never ever tried anything radically different from south indian and odisha (eastern) food when gone out with friends, family and/or relatives. My wife being a great foodie of Chinese, I am still evade the option to visit a Chinese restaurant. Why Food is so important in life. At times, People live for Food, rather food to live. If statistics taken, 1.3 trillion GDP country of India, still 60% of population from villages and 30 odd percent in below BPL. A meal (forget about nutrious) is difficult to get for certain section of community. Is it that they need to blame their fate, why they have taken birth in poor families, depreived our basic education, struggling to get basic amentities of life. Food, Shelter & basic sanitation is civic right to use. But, here it's difficult to avail all these.
When I am in Mumbai without my family and struggling to have my like of meal, I find no different from the people who struggle to get a meal. Well, I am fortunate with grace of god that, I am trying different cuisines, Be at Veg Restaurant SAMRAT at Church Gate towards Nariman Point. Or, Highway Gomantak near Bandra-Kurla complex. Foodies love these places; former one for traditional Gujju vegetarian food, and the latter one for Goan Non-Vegetarian food. And a walk in Linking road to do road-side shopping. Being privledged to access all these, why I stil think about certain stuff that really puts me down. Am I missing my family, food, my Son's pranks, or adjusting to live a individual life of frequent traveller. Will my new life take a toll on my health or it's something thats everybody wants.
The more I stay to away from my base work location, the more issues popping up to address. Why life to be so difficult always, Why can't it be tastier as it progresses like Mutton curry ate the very next day tastes good a day before ;=) Someone said, you want to enjoy your weekend, Mumbai being the place. You can't stay Indoors. But still, I spent weekends staying indoor and doing nothing.
Of-course, Multiplex's gives some respite to watch Predators, Expendables or Pepli Live. But, options are limited to kill time. Getting out from Guest House, and relying on Rickshaw/Taxi and/or local; life sucks.. I miss my Own Car, Bike and the family that I take them around.
I never find so many cool places to visit while my stay in Bangalore, Always looking out for a drive to find peace. But, it's different here. You have places to visit, spend time, and eat out. Different tastes to different set of people and likes.. A true cuisines to your taste and preferences.

My Day Out on Independence day

I have been shuttling to Mumbai from Bangalore these days; but hardly gone anywhere; Reasons are unknown or not like to evaluate; However, they might be due to my peer-to-peer netowork is limited in Mumbai area or getting synced with like minded folks are not yet linked. But, then 15th Aug when India got Independence and how can I stay indoors where bravehearts of Mumbaikars stay; their strength on business as-usual even after any untoward incident happens. I have decided to take a tour to most sensitive and vulnerable area post 26/11, and roped in one of my friend who stays in Mahakali; He has Mumbai experience of past (15 years before). But supported to join and we took a rickshaw to Andheri station to try-out local. Let's start the day in Brave way. Fast local to Church Gate. It was moderate rush at Andheri; but completely desertted post Daddar. After getting down Church gate station, walked towards gateway of India. Thought of taking a taxi, but then you can't enjoy the beauty of this fort area. So walked and reached Baghdadi restaurant behind Taj Hotel for Lunch. What a Meal, Awesome... Roved around the Taj and try to find traces of 26/11 attack. It was the heritage site which got re-opened today. But, then looked into Gateway of India. Walked down to Leopord Cafe and sipped a cold coffee and watched the bullet points as this cafe was affected during that time. Walked on the Colaba market and then moved to Fort area for heritage views. Dalal street, Bombay house, Navy Dock yard, VT, Times Bldg and so on... Tired of walking, so took a taxi for Hamleys Toy shop at Phoenix Mills. It was really cool place to get anything for kid. Finally picked NONE ;=) and returned empty to room. At-least, I stepped out on a Big day.
